Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Property Manager to join our dynamic team in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Property Manager will be responsible for the overall operational and financial management of a portfolio of residential and/or commercial properties, ensuring tenant satisfaction, property maintenance, and financial performance. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of property management, including leasing, tenant relations, maintenance, and financial reporting.
- Develop and manage property budgets, ensuring financial goals are met or exceeded.
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure high standards of appearance and safety.
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts for property services and repairs.
- Address tenant inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, fostering positive tenant relationships.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant property laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on property performance, occupancy rates, and financial results.
- Lead and mentor on-site property staff, if applicable, to achieve operational excellence.
- Implement and monitor energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in property management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of property management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, BuildingLink).
- Strong understanding of relevant property laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven financial acumen and experience with budget management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Certified Property Manager (CPM) or other relevant industry certifications.
- Experience with both residential and commercial property portfolios.
- Knowledge of local Vancouver real estate market trends.
