Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Property Disposal Specialist to join our team in Austin, TX. This role is crucial for managing the efficient and compliant disposal of various property assets, ensuring maximum recovery value while adhering to all legal and environmental regulations. The successful candidate will play a key role in inventory management, valuation, marketing, and the ultimate disposition of surplus or obsolete assets. This is a critical function supporting our diverse client base and internal operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement disposal strategies for various property types, including real estate, equipment, and materials.
- Conduct thorough assessments and valuations of assets to determine optimal disposal methods.
- Manage the entire disposal process from identification and inventory to marketing, sales, and final transfer.
- Coordinate with legal, environmental, and financial teams to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records, reports, and documentation related to all disposal activities.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with buyers, auctioneers, or other disposal vendors to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Monitor market trends and best practices in property disposal to continuously improve processes.
- Facilitate property access and viewing for potential buyers or inspectors.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in property management, asset disposal, procurement, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of real estate markets, valuation techniques, and disposal processes.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Knowledge of relevant legal and environmental regulations pertaining to property disposal.
