Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Property Appraiser to join our Valuation & Advisory Services team in Tampa, Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive property valuations for a diverse range of commercial properties, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of appraisal reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed property inspections to assess physical characteristics, condition, and functional utility.
  • Conduct thorough market research, including analyzing comparable sales, leases, and economic trends.
  • Utilize various valuation methodologies, including the cost approach, sales comparison approach, and income capitalization approach.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and defensible appraisal reports in compliance with USPAP and client specific guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and clarify report findings.
  • Stay current with industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes affecting property valuation.
  • Maintain meticulous records and documentation for all appraisal assignments.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • State Certified General Appraiser license in Florida.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial real estate appraisal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical, research, and report writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MAI designation or candidacy.
  • Experience with valuation software (e.g., Argus Enterprise, CoStar).
  • Advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Familiarity with various property types, including office, retail, industrial, multifamily, and special-use properties.
