Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and motivated Production Packer to join our manufacturing team in Raleigh, NC. As a Production Packer, you will play a crucial role in the final stages of our production process, ensuring that products are correctly packaged, labeled, and prepared for shipment. This is an on-site position requiring attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor packaging machinery and equipment.
• Inspect products for quality defects before packaging.
• Accurately package finished goods according to specifications.
• Apply appropriate labels, barcodes, and other identifying marks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles.
• Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Assist with material handling and inventory tasks as needed.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors.

Required Skills

• Ability to read and follow detailed instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic understanding of quality control principles.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma concepts.
• Experience operating packaging equipment.
