Job Description

As a Production Operative at Halliburton’s manufacturing facility in Aberdeen, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for the safe and efficient assembly, testing, and packaging of a wide range of oil and gas equipment. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to strict safety protocols, and a commitment to quality. You will work within a dynamic environment, contributing directly to the production of essential tools and components that enable energy exploration and production globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate various machinery and equipment for component manufacturing and assembly.
  • Perform routine quality checks on products and components to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to 5S principles.
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.
  • Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading of goods as required.
  • Troubleshoot basic production issues and report complex problems to supervisors.

Required Skills

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in an industrial setting.
  • Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with specific machinery relevant to oil and gas equipment manufacturing.
  • Forklift license or experience operating similar material handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
