Job Description

Providence Health & Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our growing team in Spokane, Washington. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat patients, manage chronic conditions, and promote health and wellness within our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
• Develop and implement patient management plans.
• Prescribe medications and other treatments as appropriate.
• Provide patient education and counseling on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Perform minor procedures as authorized by supervising physician.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records.
• Participate in continuing medical education and professional development activities.

Required Skills

• Current PA license in Washington State (or eligible to obtain).
• NCCPA certification.
• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care.
• Eligibility for visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Physician Assistant in an acute care or primary care setting.
• Experience with a diverse patient population.
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
