Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced PHP Developer to join our dynamic team in Manchester, UK. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable PHP-based web applications.
• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to define, design, and ship new features.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues, providing timely resolutions.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Required Skills

• Expertise in PHP 7/8 and modern PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony).
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
• Proficiency with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular).
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and designing efficient database schemas.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
