Job Description
CVS Health is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Richmond, VA. Key Responsibilities

- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly and courteously.
- Maintain patient profiles and prescription records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Process insurance claims and assist patients with billing inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and sanitation protocols.
- Support the pharmacist in various administrative tasks and pharmacy operations.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
- Participate in continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
- Minimum of 1 year (12 months) of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care and customer service.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in a related field.
