Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Chandler, Arizona. This is a unique opportunity for qualified international candidates, as visa sponsorship is available for this full-time, on-site position. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in dispensing medication, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Process prescription orders, including data entry, insurance verification, and patient record maintenance.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and resolving issues with professionalism.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Operate pharmacy automation systems and other equipment as needed.
- Handle cash transactions and manage the point-of-sale system.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or equivalent
- Current state registration/licensure as a Pharmacy Technician, or ability to obtain prior to employment
- Minimum of 1 year (12 months) of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, brand and generic drug names, and dosage forms
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Proficiency in pharmacy computer systems and data entry
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a related field
- Experience with specific pharmacy software systems used by CVS Health
- Fluency in multiple languages
- Experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting
