Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Petroleum Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant projects, optimizing reservoir performance and maximizing hydrocarbon recovery. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the full lifecycle of oil and gas assets, from exploration and appraisal to development and production, leveraging advanced engineering principles and innovative technologies. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement reservoir surveillance programs, including data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation.
- Develop and optimize production strategies for oil and gas fields, focusing on enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques.
- Perform reservoir simulations and decline curve analyses to forecast production and estimate reserves.
- Evaluate well performance, identify production bottlenecks, and recommend interventions or workovers.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including geoscientists, drilling engineers, and operations personnel.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, presentations, and economic evaluations for management review.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in reservoir engineering or production engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of reservoir mechanics, fluid properties, and well test analysis.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software for reservoir simulation (e.g., ECLIPSE, CMG), production optimization (e.g., Petrel, IPM), and economic analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering.
- Experience with unconventional resources (shale oil/gas, tight gas).
- Knowledge of advanced EOR techniques (e.g., CO2 flooding, chemical flooding).
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Prior experience working on international projects or diverse geological settings.
