Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Petroleum Engineer to join our dynamic team in Moncton, New Brunswick. This pivotal role involves optimizing oil and gas recovery, ensuring efficient production processes, and contributing to the strategic development of our energy projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing reservoir performance, designing production strategies, and implementing advanced engineering solutions to maximize asset value. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze reservoir data, perform simulations, and develop production forecasts.
  • Design and optimize well completions, artificial lift systems, and production facilities.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production operations to ensure maximum efficiency and safety.
  • Identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and implement relevant technologies.
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports, economic evaluations, and project proposals.
  • Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, and drilling engineers on integrated field development plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company safety standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in petroleum engineering roles
  • Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse, CMG)
  • Strong understanding of oil and gas production operations, well design, and reservoir management
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Knowledge of industry safety standards and environmental regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering
  • Professional Engineering (P.Eng) designation in Canada or eligibility for immediate registration
  • Experience with unconventional resource development
  • Familiarity with economic modeling and risk assessment for oil and gas projects
  • Experience working in the Canadian energy sector
