Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team in Charlotte, NC. As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life. This role involves assisting with daily activities, providing companionship, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide medication reminders as directed by care plans.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe living environment.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
  • Offer companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Monitor and report changes in client's health or behavior to the supervising nurse.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and run errands.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and client observations.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in personal care or a similar role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and compassion.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certification (e.g., CNA, HHA, PSW certificate) from an accredited program.
  • Experience working with diverse client populations.
  • Proficiency in additional languages relevant to the local community.
