Job Description
Join the Amazon team as a Part-Time Warehouse Team Member in Austin, Texas. You will play a vital role in ensuring products are received, stored, and shipped efficiently, contributing to Amazon’s commitment to fast and reliable customer delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Receive products, unload shipments, and scan items into inventory using handheld devices.
- Pick customer orders from shelves, pack them securely, and prepare them for shipment.
- Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks (training provided, if applicable) to move products.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a secure workplace.
- Perform quality checks on products to ensure they meet Amazon standards.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and accuracy goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Basic computer or handheld device operation skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse facility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a warehouse, fulfillment center, or similar environment.
- Experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts or order pickers (certification preferred but not required).
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as business needs demand.
