Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Part-Time Social Media Assistant to join our dynamic marketing team. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation, scheduling, and publishing of engaging content across Shopify’s social media channels (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok).
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, mentions, and competitor activity, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Engage with our online community by responding to comments and messages in a timely and on-brand manner.
  • Support the development and implementation of social media campaigns and initiatives.
  • Conduct research on industry-specific topics, hashtags, and social media best practices.
  • Assist in compiling social media performance reports, tracking key metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the broader marketing and content teams to ensure brand consistency and messaging.
  • Help maintain a content calendar and asset library.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (1+ year) in social media management or digital marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok).
  • Basic understanding of social media analytics and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Creative mindset with an ability to generate engaging content ideas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Later).
  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Understanding of the e-commerce landscape and small business challenges.
