Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and reliable Part-Time Retail Store Cleaner to join our Portland team. This early morning position is crucial for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of our store before opening hours, ensuring a pleasant and safe environment for both our guests and team members. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, and dusting surfaces in all areas of the store.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Clean windows, glass doors, and display cases.
• Restock cleaning supplies and report any inventory needs to the supervisor.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
• Notify management of any repairs or maintenance issues observed during cleaning.
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards prior to store opening.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial services, preferably in a retail or commercial setting.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers, vacuum cleaners).
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 25 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Reliable and punctual, with availability for early morning shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working early morning shifts.
