Job Description

Target is seeking a dedicated and efficient Part-Time Retail Stock Associate to join our team in Portland, Oregon. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring our sales floor is consistently stocked and organized, allowing our guests to easily find the products they need. You will handle incoming merchandise, process shipments, and maintain the backroom, playing a key part in the smooth operation of our store. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to teamwork and guest service.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and process incoming merchandise shipments accurately and efficiently.
• Organize and maintain the stockroom, ensuring it is clean, safe, and easily navigable.
• Stock shelves, racks, and displays on the sales floor with new products, adhering to planograms.
• Assist with inventory counts and participate in merchandising efforts as directed.
• Rotate stock to ensure product freshness and minimize waste.
• Identify and report discrepancies or damaged goods to management.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures.

Required Skills

• Ability to lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or stockroom environment.
