Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and experienced Part-Time Nanny to join a wonderful family in Tempe, AZ. This role involves providing attentive and engaging care for children, fostering their development, and maintaining a safe and stimulating environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, proactive, and have a genuine love for working with children. This is a unique opportunity to become an integral part of a family’s support system, offering flexible hours to accommodate both the family’s needs and the nanny’s availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and nurturing care for children, focusing on their physical, emotional, and intellectual development.
• Engage children in age-appropriate and educational activities, including creative play, reading, outdoor adventures, and learning games.
• Prepare healthy snacks and meals for children.
• Assist with light household duties related to childcare, such as tidying up play areas, children's laundry, and organizing toys.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, both inside and outside the home.
• Transport children to and from school, activities, or appointments as needed.
• Maintain open and consistent communication with parents regarding children's activities, progress, and any notable events.
• Follow family routines and schedules, providing consistency and structure.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of verifiable childcare experience with references.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and responsibility.
• Ability to create a safe, engaging, and structured environment for children.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record with reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Experience with specific age groups (e.g., infants, toddlers, school-aged children).
• Non-smoker.
• Ability to commit to the position for at least one year.
