Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Painter and Decorator to join our property maintenance team in Columbus, Ohio. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting and decorating by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and patching.
• Apply primers, paints, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Mix and match paint colors according to specifications or to achieve desired effects.
• Perform decorative painting techniques, such as faux finishes or stenciling, as required.
• Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to safety standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and property managers to complete projects efficiently.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator.
• Thorough knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to select and mix colors accurately.
• Proficiency in preparing various surfaces for painting.
• Understanding of safety procedures and precautions.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
