Job Description

Embark on an exciting journey with Google as a Paid Data Science Intern in Santa Monica, CA. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms.
• Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses and measure impact of product changes.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate data insights into product features.
• Present findings and recommendations to various stakeholders.
• Contribute to data infrastructure improvements and data quality initiatives.
• Research and evaluate new data science techniques and technologies.

Required Skills

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, R, Java, C++).
• Solid understanding of statistical analysis, experimental design, and machine learning concepts.
• Experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation.
• Familiarity with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous internship experience in a data science or analytical role.
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, BigQuery).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Matplotlib).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team on complex projects.
