Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Osteopath to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team in Overland Park, Kansas. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to a leading healthcare system in the United States, with visa sponsorship available for qualified international candidates. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal imbalances using osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) to restore health and wellbeing to our diverse patient population. You will work within a collaborative environment, committed to integrated care and patient-centered outcomes, utilizing a holistic approach to address root causes of pain and dysfunction.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical examination, and diagnostic testing.
• Formulate accurate diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans incorporating osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT).
• Perform a wide range of osteopathic techniques to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and enhance bodily functions.
• Educate patients on preventative care, exercise, posture, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term health.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with AdventHealth standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in continuing professional development to stay abreast of advancements in osteopathic medicine and healthcare practices.
• Adhere to all ethical and professional standards, ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.

Required Skills

• Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certification or eligibility in Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) or relevant specialty.
• Current, unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in the state of Kansas.
• Demonstrated expertise in a variety of osteopathic manipulative techniques.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical reasoning skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and a holistic approach to health.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as an Osteopath.
• Experience working in a hospital or large integrated healthcare system.
• Specialized training or certifications in specific areas of osteopathy (e.g., cranial osteopathy, visceral manipulation).
• Fluency in additional languages.
