Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Developer to join our dynamic team in Summerside, Prince Edward Island. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing Oracle-based solutions. You will work closely with business analysts and other developers to translate business requirements into robust and scalable applications, ensuring high performance and data integrity. This is a critical role that contributes to the success of various client projects, offering the opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding initiatives. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified international candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement new features and functionalities in Oracle databases and applications.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Perform database modeling, schema design, and data migration.
- Collaborate with solution architects and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Conduct unit, integration, and system testing to ensure the quality and reliability of developed solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing Oracle applications and databases.
- Optimize application performance and ensure data security and integrity.
- Maintain technical documentation for all developed components and processes.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Oracle Developer with strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
- Extensive experience with Oracle Database versions 12c, 19c, or higher.
- Solid understanding of relational database design and data modeling principles.
- Experience with performance tuning of SQL queries and PL/SQL code.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with Oracle Forms and Reports.
- Familiarity with other Oracle technologies such as Oracle APEX, Oracle E-Business Suite, or Oracle Fusion Middleware.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience in the consulting industry or working with multiple clients.
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
