Job Description
FedEx is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Oracle Developer to join our enterprise technology team in Memphis, TN. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement complex Oracle database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and triggers using SQL and PL/SQL.
- Optimize database performance, including tuning SQL queries, indexes, and overall database architecture.
- Perform data migration, data loading, and data synchronization activities between various systems.
- Collaborate with application developers, system architects, and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure the integrity, security, and availability of Oracle databases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for database designs, processes, and applications.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience with Oracle Database development (12c, 19c, or higher)
- Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming
- Expertise in database design, data modeling, and schema management
- Proven experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell scripting
- Understanding of database administration concepts
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience with Oracle APEX or Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, or Azure
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
