Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose and treat ocular diseases and conditions.
• Prescribe corrective lenses, including eyeglasses and contact lenses, based on patient needs.
• Manage a diverse patient base, from children to seniors, providing personalized care.
• Educate patients on proper eye care, contact lens handling, and eyewear options.
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists or other medical specialists when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Collaborate with optical staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Stay informed about advancements in optometry and participate in continuing education.

Required Skills

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current and unrestricted Optometry license in the state of Illinois (or eligible for licensure).
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
• Eligibility for or holding a relevant work visa for the United States (visa sponsorship provided).

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of clinical experience as an Optometrist.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Specialization or interest in specific areas of optometry (e.g., pediatrics, contact lenses).
• Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish, Polish) to serve our diverse patient base.
