Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our logistics and supply chain operations in Apapa, Lagos. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with all operational standards and safety regulations. This role requires strong leadership, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record in managing complex logistics processes within a fast-paced environment. You will play a critical role in enhancing our operational performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize daily operational processes, including cargo handling, warehousing, and transportation.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
- Oversee the performance of operational teams, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure strict compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., commercial, finance, HR) to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across all operational functions.
- Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management
- Strong leadership and team management abilities

- Proficiency in operational software and Microsoft Office Suite

- Experience with port operations or international shipping logistics
- Familiarity with the Nigerian logistics landscape
