Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Remote Online Systems Tester to join our distributed quality assurance team. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within Nogales, Arizona. As an Online Systems Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Google’s various online products and services. You will be responsible for executing test plans, identifying defects, and providing clear, concise feedback to development teams. Your work will directly contribute to delivering seamless and high-quality experiences to our global user base.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for web-based applications and online systems.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using internal bug tracking systems.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other QA engineers to understand requirements and ensure thorough test coverage.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, usability, and performance testing.
- Provide detailed feedback and reports on testing progress, results, and potential risks.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and testing methodologies.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in manual quality assurance or software testing.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with web application testing and browser compatibility.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Proficiency in identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration in a remote environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
