Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Office Custodian / Cleaner to join our team for part-time evening shifts in Portland, Oregon. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and orderly environment for our client’s office facilities. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently to ensure high standards of cleanliness are consistently met. This is an on-site position critical to supporting a comfortable and productive workspace.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to disposal areas.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas, offices, and break rooms.
• Follow all safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals safely and appropriately.
• Report any maintenance needs or safety hazards to management.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
• Adhere to client-specific cleaning schedules and requirements.

• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, lift moderate weights, and stand for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and safe use of cleaning equipment.
• Reliability and punctuality for assigned shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous experience (6+ months) in custodial, janitorial, or cleaning services.
• Familiarity with various cleaning products and equipment.
