Job Description

ABM Industries is seeking a diligent and reliable Office Cleaner to join our team in Reno, Nevada. This part-time position involves evening shifts, ensuring our clients’ office spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, possess a strong work ethic, and be able to work independently while adhering to established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines. This role is crucial for creating a pristine and healthy environment for our clients and their employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash receptacles.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and kitchen areas thoroughly.
• Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Handle and dispose of waste and recycling according to company procedures.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Report any maintenance needs or safety hazards to management.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in commercial or office cleaning.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform duties requiring standing, bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs), and repetitive motions.
• Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
• Excellent time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience operating professional cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers, carpet cleaners).
• Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish).
