Job Description

Bell Canada is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Network Engineer Apprentice to join our dynamic team in Ottawa. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers in the design, configuration, and deployment of network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues under guidance.
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and diagrams.
  • Participate in scheduled network maintenance and upgrades.
  • Learn and apply networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP) and technologies (LAN, WAN, VPN).
  • Provide support for network-related incidents and requests.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of network operations and security.
  • Engage in ongoing learning and professional development activities.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, OSI model).
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • High degree of motivation and willingness to learn.
  • Enrollment in or recent completion of a post-secondary program in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Ability to work on-site in Ottawa.
