Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Multi-Drop Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team at Amazon Logistics. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering a high volume of packages to residential and commercial customers within the Yuma area. You will be a crucial part of our last-mile delivery success, ensuring excellent customer service with every delivery. This is a fast-paced environment that requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company-provided delivery vehicle to transport packages.
- Efficiently load and unload packages, ensuring proper organization and secure placement.
- Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules, adapting to changes as needed.
- Utilize handheld devices for navigation, scanning packages, and managing delivery information.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions at delivery points.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members regarding delivery status or issues.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license (Class C or equivalent).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs (occasionally heavier with assistance).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of using GPS and navigation applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (1+ year) in multi-drop delivery or a similar role.
- Experience with route optimization software or delivery tracking systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
