Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate MRI Radiographer to join our dynamic medical imaging team at Kaleida Health in Buffalo, NY. Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex MRI examinations according to established protocols and physician orders.
• Operate and maintain MRI equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
• Position patients safely and effectively for optimal image acquisition, providing clear instructions and reassurance.
• Review images for quality, completeness, and diagnostic accuracy, making adjustments as necessary.
• Administer contrast media as prescribed by a physician, monitoring patients for adverse reactions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the hospital's electronic health record system.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, including MRI safety guidelines and infection control policies.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with advancements in MRI technology and techniques.

Required Skills

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in MRI.
• Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist license (or ability to obtain prior to employment).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI Radiographer in a clinical setting.
• Proficiency in operating various MRI scanner models and related software.
• Strong understanding of MRI physics, safety protocols, and imaging techniques.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Eligibility for U.S. visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Advanced certification in specific MRI specialties (e.g., Cardiac MRI, Neuro MRI).
• Experience with multiple vendor MRI platforms (e.g., Siemens, GE, Philips).
• Prior experience in an academic medical center or large hospital system.
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
