Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Secretary to join our team in Saskatoon. This vital role supports our healthcare professionals by managing administrative tasks, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and providing exceptional service to our clients. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and schedule patient appointments, maintaining an organized and efficient calendar.
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, assist with registration, and handle inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Process billing, insurance claims, and payments, resolving any discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare and proofread correspondence, reports, forms, and other documents.
- Coordinate with medical staff, external service providers, and administrative departments.
- Oversee office supplies inventory, place orders, and ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming.

Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical administrative or secretarial role.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and healthcare administrative procedures.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data entry.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A professional and empathetic demeanor, capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or diploma in Medical Office Administration or a related field.

- Experience with TELUS Health EMR or similar healthcare software.
- Fluency in a second language relevant to the local community.
