Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and scientifically trained Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our dynamic team. The MSL will be responsible for developing and maintaining professional relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and other healthcare professionals (HCPs) in relevant therapeutic areas. This role involves scientific exchange, data dissemination, and providing clinical and scientific support to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring appropriate use of Pfizer’s products and understanding of unmet medical needs. The MSL will operate within ethical guidelines and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and maintain credible scientific relationships with KOLs, investigators, and other healthcare professionals.
• Communicate complex scientific and clinical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
• Facilitate scientific exchange and discussions on unmet medical needs, clinical practice, and data relevant to Pfizer's therapeutic areas.
• Provide scientific and clinical support to internal colleagues (e.g., sales, marketing, medical affairs).
• Stay current with scientific literature, clinical research, and industry trends.
• Participate in medical education programs, advisory boards, and scientific conferences.
• Gather and communicate actionable insights from the field to inform medical and commercial strategies.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and ethical guidelines.
• Support clinical trial initiatives by identifying potential investigators and providing scientific expertise.

Required Skills

• Advanced scientific degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D.) in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or clinical practice, preferably in a field-based medical role.
• Strong understanding of clinical research, drug development, and disease areas.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interpret and critically evaluate scientific literature.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
• High level of integrity and ethical conduct.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Medical Science Liaison experience.
• Experience in a specific therapeutic area relevant to Pfizer's portfolio (e.g., Oncology, Immunology, Rare Disease).
• Fluency in local Nigerian languages beyond English is an advantage.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
