Job Description

Banner Health is seeking dedicated and compassionate Medical Doctors to join our team in Tucson, Arizona. Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain complete medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based medicine.
• Prescribe medications and other therapies, monitoring patient responses and adjusting as necessary.
• Perform minor medical procedures in accordance with professional scope of practice and facility guidelines.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR).
• Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
• Participate in continuing medical education and professional development activities.
• Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of medical practice and organizational policies.

Required Skills

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of an accredited residency program.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in a relevant specialty.
• Current, unrestricted Medical License in Arizona or eligibility for licensure.
• DEA registration (or eligibility for registration).
• Strong clinical diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a large integrated healthcare system.
• Specific sub-specialty training or fellowship completion.
• Experience with telehealth platforms and practices.
• Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to serve our diverse patient population.
