Job Description
Banner Health is seeking dedicated and compassionate Medical Doctors to join our team in Tucson, Arizona. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain complete medical histories.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based medicine.
- Prescribe medications and other therapies, monitoring patient responses and adjusting as necessary.
- Perform minor medical procedures in accordance with professional scope of practice and facility guidelines.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Participate in continuing medical education and professional development activities.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of medical practice and organizational policies.
Required Skills
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of an accredited residency program.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in a relevant specialty.
- Current, unrestricted Medical License in Arizona or eligibility for licensure.
- DEA registration (or eligibility for registration).
- Strong clinical diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a large integrated healthcare system.
