Job Description

We are actively seeking a diligent and efficient Material Handler to join our operations team in San Jose, CA. In this role, you will be crucial to our supply chain, responsible for the movement, storage, and control of materials within our facility. This position requires careful attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Receive, inspect, store, and issue materials, components, and finished goods according to established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by performing cycle counts and assisting with physical inventories.
  • Prepare kits for production, ensuring all required materials are available and correct.
  • Load and unload trucks, verifying quantities and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Package finished products for shipment, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and shipping departments to ensure smooth material flow.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a material handling or warehouse role.
  • Proven ability to operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) and pallet jacks.
  • Basic computer proficiency for inventory management systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift certification.
  • Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or electronics production environment.
  • Familiarity with 5S principles and lean manufacturing concepts.
