Job Description

Join Intel’s cutting-edge manufacturing team in Hillsboro, Oregon, as a Manufacturing Engineer. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to optimize our production processes, enhance product quality, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and high-volume production of advanced semiconductor devices. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust manufacturing processes to ensure high-volume production efficiency and quality.
  • Analyze process data, identify root causes of deviations, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects using methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma to reduce costs, improve yields, and enhance cycle times.
  • Collaborate with R&D, design, and equipment engineering teams to transfer new technologies into manufacturing and optimize existing processes.
  • Design and qualify new equipment and tooling, and develop maintenance procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to manufacturing technicians and operators.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental regulations.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in semiconductor manufacturing or a high-volume precision manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE).
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively in a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience with process automation and robotics.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab, Python, R).
  • Prior experience with PVD, CVD, Etch, or Lithography processes in semiconductor fabrication.
  • Green Belt or Black Belt Six Sigma certification.
