Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team in Newark, NJ. The successful candidate will be instrumental in optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within our state-of-the-art facilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain adherence to stringent regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flow diagrams.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams to ensure seamless product transfer and robust manufacturing operations.
- Evaluate and select new equipment, technologies, and materials, performing validation activities as required.
- Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with internal quality standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO), and safety protocols.
- Provide technical support and training to production personnel.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, pharmaceuticals, automotive).
- Proven experience with process optimization, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and Minitab or other statistical analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) environments.
