Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Loss Adjuster to join our dynamic team in Downtown Reno, NV. This unique opportunity includes visa sponsorship for qualified international candidates looking to establish a career in the United States. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating complex insurance claims, determining liability, assessing damages, and negotiating settlements in accordance with company policies and industry best practices. You will serve as a critical point of contact for policyholders, ensuring a fair and efficient claims resolution process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate property, casualty, and other insurance claims to determine coverage and liability.
  • Interview policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and review relevant documents to gather facts.
  • Inspect damaged property and assess the extent of losses, utilizing specialized tools and knowledge.
  • Prepare detailed reports, estimates, and documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Negotiate fair and equitable settlements with policyholders and third parties.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders throughout the claims process.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel, experts, and other departments as needed.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Loss Adjuster or Claims Adjuster.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as required.
  • Eligible for visa sponsorship and willingness to relocate if necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
  • Professional insurance designations (e.g., AIC, CPCU, SCLA).
  • Experience with complex commercial claims or specialized lines of business.
