Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Logistics & Supply Chain Specialist to join our team in Hamburg. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods, optimizing supply chain processes, and collaborating with various stakeholders. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong understanding of logistics operations and a commitment to excellence, capable of working effectively in an international environment where English is the primary language of communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Optimize supply chain processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely stock replenishment.
- Prepare and analyze logistics data and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Liaise with suppliers, carriers, customs brokers, and internal departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure compliance with national and international shipping regulations and company policies.
- Participate in the implementation of new logistics systems and procedures.
- Resolve operational issues and discrepancies in a timely and effective manner.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of international shipping processes and customs regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with logistics software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CSCP, SCOR-P).
- Project management experience.
- Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
