Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Management Specialist to join our dynamic team in Canary Wharf. The successful candidate will be instrumental in optimizing our supply chain operations, managing logistics processes, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods globally. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced international environment. You will be responsible for coordinating with various stakeholders, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement across our logistics network.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and sales teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Negotiate contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.
- Utilize logistics software and systems to track shipments, analyze data, and generate performance reports.
- Identify and resolve logistics-related issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., sales, operations, finance) to streamline processes and improve customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular audits of logistics processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
- Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multinational environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
