Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Logistics Management Specialist to join our dynamic team in Mississauga. This role is crucial for optimizing our supply chain operations, ensuring efficient flow of goods, and enhancing overall customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of logistics principles, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record in managing complex logistical challenges within a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for analyzing data, implementing process improvements, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze logistical data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-effective solutions.
• Manage relationships with carriers, suppliers, and other third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports on logistics performance.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain, including delays, damages, and compliance issues.
• Utilize logistics software (TMS, WMS) to track shipments, manage inventory, and streamline operations.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of logistics plans.
• Stay informed of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
• Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., SCMP, CSCP, PMP).
• Experience with international shipping and customs regulations.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles.
• Experience with route optimization software.
