Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, research, and pitch news stories and feature ideas relevant to the Nottinghamshire community.
  • Conduct interviews with sources, public officials, and community members, maintaining strong ethical standards.
  • Write clear, concise, and engaging news articles, features, and reports for digital and print platforms, adhering to house style and deadlines.
  • Verify facts, information, and sources to ensure accuracy and journalistic integrity.

  • Build and maintain a network of contacts within the community.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Journalist, reporter, or similar role (minimum 3 years).

  • Demonstrable understanding of journalistic ethics and media law.
