Job Description
The Investment Banking Division (IBD) Summer Intern program at KeyCorp offers an unparalleled opportunity for highly motivated and talented undergraduate students to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of investment banking. Interns will be integral members of our deal teams, contributing to various transactions across our industry groups. This immersive program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, industry research, and client relationship management, preparing participants for a successful career in finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial models and valuations for M&A, equity, and debt transactions.
- Conduct in-depth industry and company-specific research, analyzing market trends and competitive landscapes.
- Prepare client presentations, pitch books, and other marketing materials.
- Participate in due diligence processes, analyzing financial statements and other corporate documents.
- Collaborate with senior bankers and various product groups to execute transactions.
- Develop a strong understanding of capital markets and various financial products.
- Contribute to internal projects and initiatives aimed at improving team efficiency and capabilities.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Demonstrated interest in finance, particularly investment banking.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
