Job Description

Sedgwick is seeking an experienced and dedicated International Loss Adjuster to join our dynamic team in Manchester, England. This role is crucial for managing and assessing complex insurance claims, primarily across property and casualty lines, for clients seeking our expert services. Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate complex property and casualty claims, including site visits and interviews with relevant parties.
  • Assess the extent of damage and loss, preparing detailed reports and cost estimates.
  • Negotiate fair and equitable settlements with policyholders and third parties.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including clients, brokers, and underwriters.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Manage a caseload efficiently, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines and service level agreements.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on claim matters.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the adjusting team.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Loss Adjuster, handling a diverse range of property and casualty claims.
  • Excellent analytical and and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong negotiation and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in producing detailed and accurate claim reports.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload effectively.
  • Full UK driving license (or ability to obtain one).
  • Eligibility for visa sponsorship in the UK (demonstrated by experience and qualifications).

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACII or Dip CII qualification (or equivalent international professional qualification).
  • Experience with international claims or a global client base.
  • Proficiency in additional languages relevant to Sedgwick's global operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Law, Construction, Engineering, Business).
