Job Description

Comcast Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intergovernmental Affairs Analyst to join our dynamic team in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, you will play a critical part in monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on legislative and regulatory developments at the local, state, and federal levels that could impact our business. You will support our government relations efforts by conducting policy research, preparing briefing materials, and assisting with stakeholder engagement. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a keen interest in public policy and the telecommunications industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor legislative and regulatory activities at municipal, state, and federal levels, identifying potential impacts on Comcast's operations.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of proposed legislation, regulations, and public policy issues relevant to the telecommunications and media sectors.
  • Prepare concise summaries, briefing documents, and presentations for senior leadership on key intergovernmental affairs matters.
  • Assist in developing and executing strategies for engaging with government officials, industry associations, and community stakeholders.
  • Support the coordination of meetings, events, and communications with elected officials and their staff.
  • Track and report on the status of various legislative initiatives and regulatory proceedings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, communications, and business units, to ensure alignment on policy positions and advocacy efforts.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Government Affairs, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in government relations, public policy, legislative analysis, or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the legislative and regulatory processes at various levels of government (local, state, federal).
  • Exceptional research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with experience preparing professional reports and presentations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legislative tracking software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., MPA, MPP, JD).
  • Experience in the telecommunications, media, or technology industry.
  • Established network within government offices or advocacy organizations in Pennsylvania.
  • Familiarity with local Philadelphia government and political landscape.
