Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Instrumentation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is crucial for the design, development, installation, calibration, and maintenance of control systems and instrumentation used in our advanced manufacturing and industrial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process control, automation, and instrumentation, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement industrial control systems, including PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and other instrumentation.
- Perform calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various field instruments such as sensors, transmitters, and control valves.
- Develop and review P&ID diagrams, instrument specifications, and data sheets.
- Provide technical support for installation, commissioning, and startup activities for new and existing systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process engineers, electrical engineers, and operations personnel.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements through instrumentation upgrades.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and training materials for operational staff.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems within an industrial environment.
- Proficiency with PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) and DCS systems (e.g., Honeywell Experion, Emerson DeltaV).
- Strong understanding of P&ID's, control loop tuning, and calibration techniques.
- Experience with various field instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level transmitters).
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISA, IEC, and relevant safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one.
- Experience with process control simulation software.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for industrial control systems.
- Previous experience working on projects with international teams or in diverse cultural settings.
