Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Information Security Manager to join our dynamic team in Virginia Beach, VA. This critical role involves leading and managing our information security initiatives, protecting sensitive data, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, risk management, and team leadership, with a commitment to maintaining a robust security posture. This position is open to candidates requiring visa sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive information security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Oversee and enhance our security architecture, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, and data loss prevention solutions.
• Lead incident response efforts, including detection, analysis, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident review.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CMMC).
• Manage and mentor a team of security analysts, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate security into all aspects of system design and operation.
• Report on security posture, incidents, and compliance status to senior management.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security management or a related leadership role.
• Proven expertise in developing and implementing information security programs and policies.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls.
• Experience with incident response, vulnerability management, and security architecture.
• Proficiency with security tools and technologies (SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, endpoint protection).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GSEC, or PMP.
• Experience working in a government contracting or highly regulated environment.
• Familiarity with cloud security principles and practices (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with compliance audits and risk management methodologies.
