Job Description
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Hybrid Social Media Coordinator to join our vibrant marketing team at Universal Orlando Resort. This role will be instrumental in managing and executing our social media strategy, engaging with our audience, and amplifying our brand presence across various digital platforms. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days per week in our Orlando office, fostering collaboration and team synergy, with the flexibility of remote work for the remaining days.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of social media content strategies across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, and YouTube.
- Schedule and publish daily content, including text, image, and video posts, ensuring brand consistency and adherence to editorial calendars.
- Monitor social media channels, engage with comments and messages, and escalate critical issues to relevant teams.
- Conduct social listening to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, providing insights to the marketing team.
- Support social media campaigns and promotions, including influencer collaborations and user-generated content initiatives.
- Track and analyze social media performance metrics, generating regular reports on engagement, reach, and other key KPIs.
- Collaborate with internal creative teams to develop compelling visual and written content tailored for each social platform.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for new content ideas and campaign concepts.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing (2+ years preferred).
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their respective best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft engaging copy.
- Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Later).
- Basic knowledge of social media analytics and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) for basic content creation.
- Familiarity with the entertainment, theme park, or hospitality industry.
