Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Housekeeper to join our team at the Hilton Edinburgh Carlton. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and orderliness of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for all our guests. This role is crucial to our guests’ experience, and we are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms and public areas according to established standards and procedures.
• Change bed linen and make beds, replace used towels and amenities.
• Vacuum carpets, mop floors, dust and polish furniture, and clean bathroom fixtures.
• Replenish guest room supplies and ensure all items are in working order.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items promptly.
• Handle guest requests and complaints efficiently and courteously.
• Maintain a neat and organized trolley and storage areas.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Required Skills

• Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and punctual.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with various cleaning products and equipment.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards in a hospitality setting.
