Job Description
We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and discreet Household Sommelier to manage and curate an exquisite private wine collection for a prominent family. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in viticulture, global wine regions, and food pairings, along with impeccable service standards characteristic of fine dining establishments. This is a unique opportunity to provide bespoke wine services within a private residence, ensuring a seamless and elevated experience for the principals and their guests. Key Responsibilities
- Manage, organize, and inventory an extensive private wine cellar, ensuring optimal storage conditions.
 - Curate and expand the wine collection through strategic acquisitions, participating in auctions and liaising with reputable suppliers.
 - Provide expert recommendations for wine pairings with diverse culinary preferences for daily meals and special events.
 - Decant, serve, and present wines with precision and elegance, educating principals and guests on their selections.
 - Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of current wine trends, new releases, and market value.
 - Coordinate wine-related events, tastings, and educational sessions for the family and their guests.
 - Manage all aspects of wine procurement, including budgeting, purchasing, receiving, and secure storage.
 - Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of all wine-related equipment and glassware.
 - Adhere strictly to confidentiality and discretion regarding all aspects of the household and its principals.
 
Required Skills
- Certified Sommelier (Court of Master Sommeliers Advanced Sommelier or equivalent certification)
 - Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sommelier in a Michelin-starred restaurant, luxury hotel, or private household.
 - Profound knowledge of international wines, spirits, and cigars.
 - Exceptional tasting and analytical skills.
 - Superior communication and interpersonal abilities, with a discreet and professional demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master Sommelier Diploma.
