Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Hotel Receptionist / Front Desk Agent to join our vibrant team in Hamburg. This on-site role is crucial for creating an outstanding first impression for our guests and ensuring their stay is seamless and enjoyable. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for providing top-tier service in a luxury hotel setting. This position does not require German language proficiency, focusing instead on international guest service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, handling check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately.
- Manage guest reservations, room assignments, and special requests, ensuring all details are recorded and fulfilled.
- Provide comprehensive information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions in Hamburg.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues as necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Process payments, manage cash handling, and maintain accurate billing records.
- Operate the hotel's phone system, directing calls and taking messages accurately.
- Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area, ensuring a professional appearance at all times.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments (Housekeeping, Concierge, Food & Beverage) to ensure a cohesive guest experience.
- Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- Fluent in English (verbal and written communication)
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within hospitality
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and reservation software (e.g., Opera PMS)
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
